Dr. Olori Ajayi is the CEO of Borderless Trade & Investments, where she has led initiatives to empower up to 80,000 African entrepreneurs and facilitate trade through collaborations with institutional partners.
Throughout her career, Dr. Olori has been a driving force in trade facilitation and economic growth. She is recognized as a visionary leader dedicated to transforming Africa’s trade landscape and empowering women continent-wide.
With over a decade of experience in trade, investment, women empowerment, and sustainable development, she has emerged as a pivotal figure in Africa’s strategy for structural transformation.
Currently pursuing a Public Policy program at the prestigious Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, Dr. Olori also serves as a Member of the Working Group for AfCFTA Trade and Industrial Development Advisory Council. She is a Board Member for Made in Nigeria Commodities Export and an accomplished author.
Dr. Olori’s impact is tangible in securing over $3,000,000 in funding and trade finance for women in the export community. She has successfully facilitated exports to Australia, the U.S., and the United Kingdom, leveraging her strategic insights and extensive network.
Recognized as one of Nigeria’s Top 50 Inspiring Women and honored at the African Achievers Award 2023 for Excellence in Trade and Investment, Dr. Olori continues to garner accolades for her contributions to women’s empowerment and trade development. She was also a Finalist for the 30 Leading Women in the African Supply Chain Industry in 2023.
Her commitment to mentorship and capacity building is evident through her role as a Facilitator, Mentor, and Project Partner with the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), a White House initiative. Dr. Olori’s influence extends globally, having been appointed by the Honourable Commissioner of Trade and Investment of Vanuatu to execute the ‘Women in Investment – WINher’ program across Nigeria and South Africa in 2021.
In academia, Dr. Olori has contributed as a Guest Lecturer at the Lagos Business School, imparting knowledge on International Trade to Executive MBA classes from 2018 to 2022. She has also been recognized as the first female Ambassador for Afreximbank MANSA Ambassador in Nigeria and as one of the Top 100 Inspiring Women in Africa by Leading Ladies Africa in 2021 and 2023.
