About the Author

Titi Horsfall is a novelist and poet. She is fascinated with the concept of purposes, value for humanity, freedom in society, and goodwill on earth. Really lofty goals, but they speak to the hearts of many. Everyone needs love, a safe place to grow roots, and a chance to dream and pursue it.

Titi’s thoughts are warmed by global themes that have far-reaching impacts on individuals. Taking up a place as a writer, was for her, simply walking in ‘obedience.’ She knows first-hand, the burning passion that fills one’s heart when a story, a scene, or a dialogue tug persistently, and only finds release when penned. She has asked herself many times, why the pull to certain subjects? While she grows in this understanding, she gladly submits to the joy that floods her heart when she commits.

Her writing style takes on literary fiction, with elaborate contexts of history. She also drops in spices of romantic themes while at it. Titi works well with details gained from research, and through the application of her imagination, ensures that her audience is carried along from the first to the last page in a pleasurable reading experience. As a poet, she is quite traditional and opts for simple, structured poetry.

A recipient of the African Literature Prize, she did pick up golfing as a sport, but primarily to enjoy her walk through greens and beautiful landscapes.

She is a mother to three young men.
