MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Laura Eustache Zamor marks her publishing debut with the release of “The Audacity to Finish” (published by WestBow Press), a memoir charting her fight past fear to finish school and find her purpose. Hers is a story that reminds readers of the power of “#owningyournarrative.”
As a millennial woman, Zamor used faith to overcome harrowing, painful situations in her life, including bullying, a spiritual attack, depression and gestational illnesses. Through it all, she managed to be resilient and to begin a brand-new life.
“The Audacity to Finish” is written in a manner that is very down-to-earth and easy to read. It also encompasses the different life stages anyone goes through: from childhood to college, from career- choosing, to marriage and childbirth. In the book, Zamor addresses what it is like moving through these stages as a millennial, a generation often given poor descriptors.
“I want readers to know that as long as they are alive, they have the chance to rewrite their stories. They can go through faith-testing, strength-testing seasons, but if they are committed to finding and experiencing healing, they will eventually experience the joy of restoration,” Zamor explains.
“I also want millennial-aged women, and men, to know that creating and fighting for family is important. It’s good to chase and accomplish professional goals, but if you feel called to have a family, fight for your marriage and family.”
