About the Author

Born in the suburbs of Benin City, Nigeria, Osaretin grew up spinning stories from the dust of his imagination—a skill that would later save him. Much like the protagonist of his debut novel, The Eighth Day of the Week, he began writing poetry at fifteen, a turning point that taught him language could be both a refuge and a weapon. He went on to study English Literature, immersing himself in the works of the greats who showed him the power of a well-told story.

By day, he works in brand storytelling, helping companies find their authentic voices. By night, he conjures characters who defy easy labels. It took five years to bring The Eighth Day of the Week to life: a journey marked by patience and the relentless pursuit of a platform worthy of its message. The novel is his quiet manifesto—a satire of cultural erosion, a confession of growing up between worlds, and above all, a love letter to the place that made him.

He hopes this book will not only amplify his voice but ignite conversations about the stories we inherit—and the ones we dare to rewrite.
