Enefiok Enee Udo-Obong OLY, Nigeria’s only Male double Olympic Medalist. Enee won a Gold medal at the Sydney Olympic Games and a Bronze four years later in Athens. A graduate of Human Anatomy from the University of Calabar and a holder of an Advanced Master’s in Sports Administration and Technology from The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne(EPFL), in Switzerland. He is a trained life coach from the Olusola Lanre Coaching Academy (OLCA). Enee is an accomplished published writer, a life and track coach, a seasoned administrator, a successful businessman and of course a sportsman.
A U.S. and U.K trained certified personal fitness trainer, Enee has won national championships on three occasions and he is a six-time medalist at the national sports festival for Akwa Ibom State. Nominated as one of the 50 most influential young Africans by African Digest in 2002, when he also captained Team Nigeria to the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, UK. He is a recipient of the Akwa Ibom State Honours Roll by His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on the 30th anniversary of the state. He was recently appointed a facilitator by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to train athletes in the Athletes Career Program (ACP) and is the recipient of the 2021 Leadership Award from My Media Africa.
He is the Technical Director of the Lagos State Athletics Association and was a former board member of the Nigerian Olympic Committee and chairperson of the Athletes’ commission, he is a member of the Association of National Olympic Committees in Africa (ANOCA) Athletes’ Commission and a member of the Steering Committee of athletes’ rights at the International Olympic Committee (IOC), a member of the Nigerian Olympians Association, a member of the advisory board of the Atlanta 1996 training centre in Atlanta, a fellow of the Institute of Registered Exercise Professionals, a member of the international Fitness Association (IFA) and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and was also a member of the Sports Industry thematic Group of the NESG, involved in preparing a new Sports Industry policy for Nigeria. He has written three novels.
