About the Author

Dr. Eniayewun Ademuyiwa Benjamin is a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist with the Lagos State Health Service commission. He served as the Pioneer Medical Director of Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre, Festac, Lagos. He was at various times also the Medical Director of General hospital Alimosho and Lagos Island Maternity Hospital, where he made groundbreaking innovations and impact.

He was appointed Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Health Service Commission in June 2019 and served for six years. He has mentored many leaders in the Secondary health facilities and has engaged in driving remarkable transformation across all the General hospital units in Lagos state.

A Fellow of West African College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, thoroughbred professional, he is an alumnus of University of Ibadan, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Warwick Business School (MBA), and Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Program).

He is happily married to Mrs. Omolara O. Eniayewun and they are blessed with four children: Adeyinka, Aderayo, Ademola and Adeolu.
