Mrs Olufunso Adegbola (née Ige) was born in Ibadan, the first child of Chief Bola and Justice Atinuke Ige, both of blessed memory. She had her secondary education at St. Anne’s School, Ibadan, and Westonbirt School in the United Kingdom. She was subsequently admitted to the University of Essex at Colchester, where she graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics (specializing in French and Spanish). She then went for a second degree in Law at Bristol University and graduated with an LLB (Hons) Degree in 1986. She passed her BL Bar finals and was enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1987.
In 1994, Mrs. Adegbola realised her dream of establishing The Vale College, Ibadan, a co-educational secondary school that provides first-class training for lifelong leaders and learners. In 2010, she established The Vale Tutorial College. Married to Mr Gbenro Adegbola, a publisher and CEO of First Veritas Educational Content Delivery Limited, together they have two children, both lawyers and two grandchildren. Mrs Adegbola is a lifelong learner who has attended several courses at home and abroad, including Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School. Her hobbies include self-development, travelling, public speaking, reading and writing.
