About the author.

Uduak-Abasi Akpabio has a degree in law and a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies. She was a trainee with the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency, Vienna, and is an alumnus of the International Peace and Development Training Center (IPDTC), Romania. Amongst other career experiences, Uduak-Abasi has worked: with a United Nations Mission; with the British High Commission as Regional Conflict Officer (West Africa) ; as a consultant designing programmers and facilitating sessions on peace-building, tolerance etc.; and is currently working in the Political team of an embassy. In 2020, she was a speaker at the Nigeria edition of the UN75 Intergenerational Dialogue.

With over 15 years valuable experience working on issues of peace, conflict, politics and governance, Uduak brings a palpable passion as an advocate for peace, good governance, and responsible politics. She is also passionate about using mentoring to foster attitudes that support peace and meaningful coexistence.
