Ayo Opadukun served as the General Secretary of NADECO, the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere and Coalition for Unity and Understanding (CUU). He would later found Coalition for Electoral Reform (CODER) and remains its Convener.
He previously worked as Assistant Director of Organisation in the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN)during the Second Republic, at which time he served as personal aide of Yoruba Leader, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
