Dr. Chinyere Almona is presently the Director-General/Chief Executive at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She is a governance professional with vast global experience in establishing standards and enhancing investment opportunities, with an extensive professional network across Africa.

She led the IFC’s Corporate Governance Program, which provided a wide range of corporate governance reforms across thirteen African countries. Before joining the IFC, Dr. Almona was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Dr. Almona is a seasoned board member and adviser. She is an active angel investor and was among the 40 women on the 2020 African Women in Banking and Finance Awards list. She was on the 50 Women in Management Africa (WIMA) 2022 Award list and made the list of 50 Inspiring Nigerian Women in 2022.
