About the Author
He is currently Senior Vice Chairman/Editor-In-Chief of LEADERSHIP and has over 35 years of experience in journalism. He was Editor and later, Executive Director, Publications, PUNCH. He was also MD/E-I-C and co-founder of The Interview magazine a privately-owned monthly Q & A magazine based in Abuja.
He is a fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, was an editorial board member of the World Policy Journal, a former member of the Board of the World Editors Forum; and a founding board member of the Global Editors Network. He was Chairman of the judging panel of the CNN African Journalist of the Year Panel
He is an author and a columnist with local and international media houses including City Press of South Africa; Daily Maverick, South Africa; Indepth News based in Europe; Ghanaian Chronicle and Clarin of Argentina. Apart from editing a number of published essays; he is the author of the book, “The Trial of Nuhu Ribadu.”
He is a director of the Dantiye Centre for Leadership and Journalism (DCLJ), a capacity-building centre indirectly accredited to the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council (AU-ECOSOCC).
He is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and International Affairs from the same university.
He was a voluntary part-time lecturer of Journalism at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos; and also, at the NIJ, Ogba, Lagos.
He is currently Chairman of OpenFees, an Abuja-based NGO that has, in the last six years, paid fees for over 400 indigent students in public schools in Abuja.
